Fender Thinline Telecaster Natural 2001 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

This is a Fender Thinline Telecaster in Natural Gloss finish. Made in the USA in 2001, this guitar features a bolt-on semi hollow bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body, a Maple neck and a 21 fret Maple fingerboard. The hardware consists of a Chrome 6-Saddle String-Through-Body hardtail bridge and a set of Fender tuning machines. A pair of Fender American Standard Telecaster single-coil pickups are installed and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone with Fender’s Delta Tone system.

The Satin finished Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ shape profile filling the hand nicely whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate lines and solos. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the 9.5” radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The Medium-jumbo frets assist with string bending and vibrato techniques, whilst the classic single cutaway design of the Telecaster enhances access to the upper frets. As a thinline, the instrument feels nice and lightweight in the arms for a pleasant experience on those long gigs.

Acoustically this guitar has excellent resonance, with a nicely loud and airy tone. The Fender American Standard Telecaster singlecoil in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Singlecoil in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. The volume and tone controls are very responsive, offering comprehensive control of your tone right at your fingertips.
