Gibson ES-335 'Dot' Ebony 2023 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

This is a Gibson ES-335 ‘Dot’ Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2023, this instrument features a set-neck construction comprising a 3-ply laminated Maple/Poplar/Maple body with a Maple centre block, Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece, ABR-1 ToM bridge & Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with Kluson-Style ‘Tulip’ buttons. A pair of Gibson’s Calibrated T-Type passive humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Rounded “C” profile feeling nicely full and articulate in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12” radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The familiar lines of the ES-335 body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, and with it’s relatively low weight ensures that long practice sessions and gigs are fatigue free.

The guitar resonates beautifully, filling out the sound with a deep and rich character. The neck pickup is warm and round, and can handle plenty of gain meaning you can achieve anything from jazzy lines through to soaring rock and blues solo tones. The bridge pickup is hotter, driving the front end of an amp with ease and producing the bright, biting tones that cut right through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The traditional dual humbucker control layout feels very responsive, allowing you to explore a wide tonal palette right on the instrument.
