Gibson Les Paul Traditional Desert Burst 2008 Electric Guitar - Description

This is a Gibson Les Paul Traditional electric guitar in Desert Burst finish. Made in the USA in 2008, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a traditionally weight relieved Mahogany body with ‘AA’ Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck & 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece, Nashville ToM bridge & Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone buttons. A pair of Gibson passive humbucking pickups are installed, with a ‘57 Classic in the neck & a ‘57 Classic plus in the bridge position. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the ‘50s profile offering comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75” scale length, whilst the single cutaway body design ensures easy access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12” radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques.

The pair of Gibson humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, perfect for the rock and blues tones the Les Paul has long been renowned for. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The ‘57 Classic Plus in the bridge is of course brighter, saturating into a thick distortion when driving the amp. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. The traditional Les Paul controls are as versatile as ever, offering comprehensive control of your sound right on the guitar.
