Larrivee OM-02 Satin Natural 2013 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

This is a Larrivee OM-02 acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Canada in 2013, this guitar features an all solid construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, Solid Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound with Canadian Maple whilst the neck features a single ply binding. This guitar is fitted with a Bone saddle and nut to add to the quality of this instrument as well as a set of Larrivee chrome sealed tuning machines.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a ‘C’ shape. This fills the hand nicely for a comfortable grip when chord playing, but remains slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 16” radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register, practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The familiar lines of the OM body shape are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring that long practice sessions and gigs are an absolute breeze.

The acoustic voice of the Larrivee OM-02 is rich and well balanced thanks to the selection of tone woods used in its construction. All solid woods ensure that the instrument resonates beautifully, adding a real depth and character to the tone. The low end is warm without being too soft, the mid range is punchy and clear, whilst the treble response adds a shimmer and sparkle to every note played on the instrument. The Sitka Spruce top projects very well, meaning that there is plenty of dynamic range to be found in this guitar, which feels nicely responsive to the player’s touch. The ‘Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid’ bracing system is a revolutionary design that allows even further vibration of the soundboard, while still offering a controlled bass response.
